Each belt in Taekwondo is a measure of your understanding of the art. In order to successfully progress through the belts and ultimately achieve your first black belt, you must demonstrate solid understanding of not only the pattern, but also how to execute the movements within it. Each rank (belt) has it's own pattern that will need to be learned and assessed in order to progress to the next rank.
Children's patterns
- Children's patterns are adult patterns cut down into consumable chunks. This will alow a more seemless transition to adult ranks when the time comes.
- Rather than ask you to commit to a never ending cycle of belts for children, they will work their way up to adult ranks learning the adult patterns
